DULUTH/BRAINERD ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP
The IBEW/NECA Twin Ports Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Committee is notifying all interested individuals that the JATC will make applications available at the JATC office at 802 Garfield Avenue, Suite 102, Duluth, MN and at Holden Electric - 7669 College Road - Baxter, MN from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm on Monday through Friday (excluding weekends and holidays) - Every week of each month through December 28th or the last Friday in December.  Applications must be filled out in person at the Apprenticeship Office or Holden Electric.  Applicants applying for apprenticeship must supply the JATC Office with all the necessary required documents within 30 days from the date of filling out their apprentice application form to be considered for "unindentured apprentice" status.  All application requirements listed below must be in the Apprenticeship Office by the last Friday in January in order to be considered for an interview.  Applicants must meet the following requirements:
  • Submit a $25.00 application processing fee at time of application (cash or check)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Copy of valid driver's license at time of application
  • Complete high school transcript  or GED with scores
  • Provide verification of one full year of High School Algebra, Tech Math or post High School equivalent on transcript with a passing grade. (Tech Math must show course description)
  • Trade School Transcripts (where applicable) with attendance records
  • Military Records (if applicable) Provide DD214 Form
  • Color Blindness Test (can be taken at any vision center)
  • Submit a copy of your Birth Certificate
  • Must have a qualifying score on the NJATC Aptitude Test.  This test is set up through the Apprenticeship Office.  **Note:  must score a 4 or higher to qualify***
  • Must present or sign a statement that he/she is physically able to perform electrical construction work.  Applicants selected from the pool may be required to provide results of physical examination if the committee elects


IRON RANGE/BEMIDJI ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP
The Iron Range Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Committee is notifying all interested individuals that the JATC will make applications available at IBEW Local Union #294 - 214 East Howard Street, Hibbing, MN from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Telephone No. 218-263-6895, or from the JATC office from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm at 802 Garfield Avenue, Suite 102, Duluth, MN.  Telephone No. 218-722-8115, on Monday through Friday (excluding weekends and holidays) - Every week of each month through December 28th or the last Friday in December.  Applications must be filled out in person at either of the above addresses.  In order for your application to be processed for a possible interview you must have all of the requirements listed below turned in to the JATC office or IBEW Local Union #294 by the last Friday in January.  Again, all materials must be in to complete your file by this cut off date in order for you to take the aptitude test.  Upon receiving a passing score on the aptitude test you will be scheduled for a personal interview.  Applicants must meet the following requirements:
