November Student of the Month
Molly Presler, daughter of Rose Kroll and Kevin Presler, has been named the November Student of the Month at Royalton High School (RHS). She is the youngest of 5 and has 4 nieces and nephews that she loves more than just about anything.
Molly’s favorite class is sort of a toss-up between English and band. Her favorite teacher is probably Mr. Presler, but she has never had any of his classes, so Ms. Cimenski, because she’s had to deal with her the most and doesn’t seem to mind too much. Molly’s yearbook teacher Mr. Halverson says “Molly is the only senior in the 2017 Royal Yearbook publishing class this year. That makes her the Captain of the team, the All Conference, All State, All World, and All Everything. She leads our staff in the areas of page design, writing, editing, and graphic design, and most importantly, she's in the classroom to pass on her knowledge to younger staffers. That's why our Royal yearbook has won awards for decades from numerous publishing companies. Add to this mix, one of the most genuinely nice kids that I've ever had the privilege to know in the past century or two, and you've got Miss Molly Presler.”
Molly is very involved in activities at the school; she’s in Drama, Speech, Yearbook, 4H, Wrestling manager, NHS, student council and youth group. Molly’s favorite memory is Speech and One Act competitions even though they were early mornings. Everyone is kind of giddy and is working toward the same goal.
Molly’s future plans are to attend the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and major in English Education and minor in Catholic Studies. The advice she would give to all freshmen students “be involved, but stick to the things you love”.
She see herself in 10 years teaching English somewhere not too far from home (but far enough), maybe married with a few kids, or maybe I’ll just have a gold fish, wherever God takes her.
