Midwest Student Exchange Program
The Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) is a tuition reduction program that makes attending out-of-state-colleges and universities more affordable for non-residents. By enrolling in a MSEP program at a participating institution, you will receive a reduced tuition rate. Nearly one hundred colleges and universities in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wisconsin have opened their doors to each others' citizens by offering reduced tuition rates. Prudential Spitit of Community Award
Students who have distinguished themselves through community service can apply for this award  Complete an online application at or  Applications are due November 7, 2017.  Students could win an unrestricted award of $1000 or more, and an all-expanse-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C. next spring for four days of special recognition.


Hagen Scholarship Foundation

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide, need based, merit scholarship for high achieving students who will require financial assistance in order to attend college.  The grantor of the Hagen Scholarship attended very small public schools in rural areas.  Because Royalton High School is a small public school in a rural area, students who meet the eligibility requirements may apply for one of the three hundred fifty scholarships that can be awarded each year.  Students must have a 3.5 cumulative gpa or higher, have an ACT composite of 23 or higher, enroll in an eligible college/university, must work 240 hours in a the twelve months prior to the start of each academic year of college, and must demonstrate need by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Scholarship recipients are selected based upon character, leadership, academic ability, achievement in and out of school, and future promise.  Go to to check out the eligible colleges/universities.  The deadline for application is November 15, 2017.

Rove Pest Control Scholarship
Applicants must be Class of 2017 graduates and must be attending college by the Fall 2017 semester and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  This scholarship is open to anyone seeking a higher education.

Review 10s Student Scholarship Program
"Empowering the Education for All Students" Scholarship is available for current and past Royalton Middle/High School Students.  The scholarship is valued at $1000 a year.  Learn more about this by going to  Application deadline is December 31, 2017.

"FuriousGrill Eat Healthy Scholarship"
FuriousGrill is an outdoor cooking blog, specializing in grilling, smoking & barbecue articles, including recipes, tips, tricks, cooking tutorials and product reviews.  They have announced the opening of an annual FuriousGrill Scholarship Program.  Students from universities, colleges or high school are eligible to apply.  Students under the age of 18 need consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate.  An essay is required.  Go to for more information. Application deadline is November 15, 2017.

2017-2018 Car Seat Research Scholarship
Car Seat Research is offering an annual merit-based mid-term scholarship to all students.  This scholarship requires either an essay or video submission.  The three winning applicants will receive $3,000, $1,000, and $500 towards their costs of education.  All of the application details and the 2017 essay questions are available on our website at  Application deadline is November 30, 2017.

Cosmetology Advancement Scholarship
Royalton High School has received two (2) cosmetology advancement scholarships/grants.  To validate this award, the person issued this award must visit the campus with the award letter and the college representative will validate the award.  Minnesota's most established Cosmetology College is the Model College of Hair Design, St. Cloud Minnesota - Tours of the Model College of Hair Design are available Monday - Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Get in Touch Foundation Youth Ambassador Collegiate Scholarship
The School Health/Get in Touch Youth Ambassador Collegiate Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $10,000 annually to one high school senior girl who has successfully completed her one-year term as a Get In Touch Youth Ambassador and will be attending a 2 or 4-year university.  For more information on this Scholarship please visit:

State of Sleep Scholarship
The Sleep Judge is announcing the first State of Sleep Scholarship.  They are offering a $1,500 scholarship to eligible high school seniors, current college and graduate students in an effort to support students who wish to further their education and provide awareness around the importance of sleep.  Selection of the recipients is based on the creative entry and academic performance.  Eligibility requirements:
  • Must be current high school seniors attending school in the United States and Canada OR current college students already studying at an accredited US or Canada OR current college students already studying at an accredited US or Canada post-secondary institution.
  • Must be US or Canadian citizens
  • Must be anticipating completion of high school diploma at time of application or already in possession of high school diploma/GED
  • Must be planning to or already currently pursuing a degree at an accredited US or Canada post-secondary institution.
  • Must be carrying a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent grade point average

Healthcare Leadership Scholarship is pleased to announce its bi-annual $2,000 Healthcare Leadership Scholarship!  They are now seeking qualified applicants for the November 1st deadline. is becoming one of the largest social communities for students of healthcare around the world.  Their goal is to educate, inform and share career, job and salary information.  As their way of giving back to future leaders in healthcare, their merit-based scholarship is awarded every spring and fall.  Here are the details:  Application deadline is November 1, 2017.

Parentinn's Cyberbullying Prevention Scholarship
In an effort to the cause of preventing cyberbullying, Parentinn has created the "Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship" for High School students.  Parentinn has achieved a major impact on raising awareness of Cyberbullying to all students.  The award is $1,250 for Undergraduate or Postgraduate students and $1,250 for High School students.  Link to the Scholarship can be found here:  Application deadline is February 28, 2018.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities Scholarships
The Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship is a $2,500 one-time scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a two-year community college, a vocational or technical training program, or a specialized program for students with learning and attention issues in the fall of 2018.

The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall of 2018.

Students can submit applications beginning July 5th. All applications and supporting materials must be submitted by November 6th.

Federated Challenge - $1,000-$5,000 per year for a non-four year college.  Application link opens by April 1st.  Deadline to apply is May 1st, 2018.

WWBD Memorial - $500 to college of your choice.  Application link is open now.  Deadline to apply is April 1st, 2018.

Nursing Scholarship - Amount changes each year but minimum is $500 for a student studying to be an RN.  Application link is open now.  Deadline to apply is May 1st, 2018.

Feldco Windows, Siding and Doors Scholarship

  • a current undergraduate college student or a current high school student that will be enrolled in a college/university in 2017-18
Proof of enrollment must be provided with your email submission. This can include a digital scan of your unofficial transcript, letter from admissions or acceptance letter on a school letterhead.  Application deadline is January 15, 2018.

Lights, Camera, Save! Scholarships
Pine Country Bank is participating in the American Bankers Association Foundaton Lights, Camera, Save! video contest to engage teens in educating themselves and their peers about saving and using money wisely.  Winning videos will be posted on YouTube and viewed by people across the globe.  The contest is free and open to all students ages 13-18, with the videos of local winners moving on to the national competition.  The entry period is Oct.1 - Dec. 1, 2017.  The top three national winners of Lights, Camera, Save! will receive awards of $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 to fund their saving goals.  Equally rewarding - if you are a top-three national winner, your school will win a scholarship to attend the 2018 JumpStart National Educator Conference.  Winners will be announced in March of 2018.  Also note:  Pine Country Bank will be giving $200 to the student(s) who submit the winning video picked by Pine Country Bank, along with that, Pine Country Bank will be offering $100 VISA gift card to staff or teachers who help the winning team with their video.

Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation Scholarships
2017-2018 DSA Community Foundation scholarships have been anounced.  These scholarships are fro Cass, Hubbard, Wadena, Todd, Morrison, Crow Wing & Pine County students.  There are 13 different scholarships, all with different criteria.  Online applications can be found at>Receive>Scholarships>How to apply.  Use the eligibility tool and if you see a scholarship that you think you're eligible for, but it doesn't appear on the portal - ASK!  Application deadline is January 15, 2018 at 11:59 pm.  If you have questions regarding the list of Scholarships available, please stop in the CRC and ask to see the DSA Commu Foundation Scholarship grid.

iHELP Student Loan Scholarship & iPad giveaway
